After a successful pilot test, Take Care Health Systems LLC will open 10 health clinics in Kansas City-area Walgreens in the summer. Take Care, a privately held health care startup based in Conshohocken, Pa., said in August that it would test its clinic-in-a-drugstore concept in six Kansas City-area Osco Drug stores and 10 Rite Aid pharmacies in Portland, Ore. Since then, three of the 10 Portland-area clinics have closed. But nine Take Care clinics have been launched in Kansas City-area Osco stores, and all remain open.
The clinics’ success here prompted Take Care’s announcement Tuesday that it and the Walgreen Co. (NYSE: WAG) will partner to open 10 clinics in the Kansas City market and 10 in the St. Louis market in the summer. Walgreen, the nation’s largest pharmacy chain, said it also will partner with InterFit Health’s RediClinics and Pinnacle Health System on in-store clinics in other markets later this year. “By partnering with these companies, we can improve health care delivery by making it more convenient and affordable for patients with common ailments,” Don Huonker, Walgreens vice president of pharmacy services, said in a release. “The services offered by our in-store clinics will complement care provided by the patient’s primary-care physician.”
Peter Miller, co-founder and president of Take Care Health Systems, said recently that the company planned to roll out the concept to hundreds of clinics in dozens of cities within five years. “Once we understand some of the issues we’re going to face in the marketplace, we have every intention of expanding very quickly,” said Miller, formerly president of Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceutica Products LP. In Portland, the company found that some clinics were too close to one another and were underperforming, Take Care Marketing Manager Lauren Tierney said. Apparently, investors have been satisfied with the corrective measurers. In March, Take Care said, it raised $77 million in a second-round financing deal — the largest sum raised in the health care services industry in the past two years.
Ever since Walgreens and Eckerd (Wackerds) started opening up buildings on every corner in America, I’ve been very worried. Like the article above, it’s clear that this is for profit and not the good of mankind. Wackerds doesn’t make their billions selling batteries, pens, and bottled water. They make it selling drugs. And, if you recall from your Doctors Report, drugs are far and away the leading cause of death in the United States as well as the leading cause of kidney, liver, and heart failure and the number one cause of hospitalization (2.2mil/year). Now, with clinics being located right inside of Walgreens and I’m sure Eckerd can’t be far behind, they can now dispense disaster and death even faster.
We’re hopeful that by being a Maximized Living person vs. being a “medical person” you’ll decide to cause WAG stock to plummet by limiting your drug intake through better living and chiropractic as well as telling others to do the same. Let’s save the world together!

and to do it without shots…
The best way to fight infections such as colds and the flu is to keep your immune system strong. That is enough to get you well and keep you well. That’s easier said than done in a society bombarded with commercials and advertisements informing you of the many products available that promise to relieve your symptoms and discomfort.
Hopefully by now you understand that the use of antibiotics and fever fighting medications weakens your immune system – exactly opposite of the outcome you want. Other medications considered to be safe, such as over the counter cold and flu remedies, have been linked with strokes and colon problems.

Literally every day, we write another shocking discovery about the extreme dangers of classic medicine. Today, it is about antibiotics. Recently, another medical foundation has come crashing down. It turns out that taking a precautionary antibiotic before a trip to the dentist might create more harm than good.
For over a decade now, medical research has cautioned against the use of antibiotics saying that over 90% of all infections are viral (antibiotics do not kill viruses) and that 98% of all infectious processes heal up just fine, and in fact far better on their own. Most people are becoming aware of the antibiotics plague. A plague of antibiotic resistant bacteria called “Super-germs.”
People are also aware that antibiotics kill all bacteria in your intestine, not just unwanted ones. This leaves you with a condition now called “Leaky gut syndrome” in which you become unable to properly digest foods and compromise your immune system. In fact, a host of common “New Millennium” diseases are linked to these drugs.
Despite these facts, family doctors continue to write antibiotic prescriptions like they are going out of style. Pun intended as they have gone out of style. Guidelines, published in Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association show a growing body of scientific evidence weighing the effectiveness of antibiotics against possible risks. For decades, doctors have given short-term antibiotics prior to a dental procedure to many patients with the belief the drugs would prevent infectious endocarditis (IE). As a result, patients with any kind of heart abnormality from mild, symptomless forms of mitral valve prolapse (MVP) to serious congenital birth defects have been instructed to take an antibiotic prior to dental work, even teeth cleaning.
However, the drugs carry risks, including fatal allergic reactions and possibly making the bacteria that cause IE to become resistant to antibiotics. Although allergic reactions are minimal, new evidence shows the risks outweigh the benefits for most patients receiving these antibiotics. Sadly, prophylactic antibiotics have been recommended for the last 50 years when in fact brushing your teeth carries 154,000 times the risk of a basic medical procedure!
Past Research on the Deadly Nature of Antibiotics
University of Washington found that if you filled 25 or more prescriptions for antibiotics over 17 years, you double your risk of cancer. – TIME, December 6, 2004
Infants exposed to one single round of antibiotics during their first year of life are twice as likely to develop asthma as those who do not. The more courses of antibiotics, the worse the immunity and the greater the risk of asthma. – NEWSDAY, March 6, 2006
Just released: Researchers attempted to study how long the ill effects of antibiotics last by studying people for six months. At the end of six months, people still showed low resistance and poor immunity leading the researchers to conclude that they have no idea how long last or how damaging the effects of antibiotics truly are. – THE CLINICAL ADVISOR, April 2007)
“We’ve concluded that if giving prophylactic antibiotics prior to a dental procedure works at all – and there’s no evidence that it does work – we should reserve that preventive treatment only for those people who would have the worst outcomes if they get IE. That’s a profound change from previous recommendations,” said Walter R. Wilson, M.D., a professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and chair of the writing group.
The research added that patients and their families should ask careful questions of their providers anytime antibiotics are suggested. They should also be aware that antibiotics many times can lead to a worse outcome than if they were not used at all. Of course when you ask your doctor if you really need it, the answer will be “Yes!”
There is a war going on inside the body for your health between your immune system and the bacteria and virus with which it has to share the world. You do not win the war by sending a toxic H-bomb-like chemical into your body to wipe out the enemy.
You win with maximized living – boosting God-given immune function so that the bugs will not stand a chance!
How many kids have asthma and allergies from taking antibiotics?
How many people have cancer because of the antibiotic recommendation?
How many people suffer right now from antibiotics?
How many children’s immune systems are ruined by the belief that drugs keep us safe when in fact every day we find out they are killing us?
Answer: All of those that do not know to choose health through maximized living first over drugs and surgery.

The following excerpt was taken from Forbes Magazine earlier this week:
A disastrous clinical result, Pfizer’s new drug aimed at preventing heart attacks by boosting good cholesterol, was shown to increase deaths by 60% in a 15,000-patient study. In December Pfizer canceled the drug after sinking nearly $1 billion into testing. The company’s stock sank 10% on the news.
I guarantee you that any of Pfizer shareholder’s who read that article had only one concern: Their stock just went down 10%!
But, I’m wondering if you are thinking what I’m thinking.
What is up with that!?!
Hey, I’ve got an idea. There’s this new chiropractic technique I’d like to try out on your family. Only one minor thing; there’s a 60% chance I may kill everyone by accident. It’s O.K. though, I’ve got enough money to take care of your surviving relatives for generations to come, even if I accidentally kill them too.
Wouldn’t you just jump at that opportunity!
Listen. During your orientation class, It was stated in no uncertain terms: When it comes to the health of you and your family- you are absolutely on your own. Trust absolutely NO ONE without first asking yourself a few basic common sense questions.
*Is there any such thing as a drug without a side effect?
*Didn’t God create me with everything I need to be healthy?
*Does the Power that made my body have the ability to heal me of anything and sustain abundant health for 80-120 years?
YOU ALREADY HAVE THE ANSWER- YOU WERE BORN WITH IT!

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) – Investigators said Tuesday they found steroids and other drugs in the body of pro wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and young son last month before hanging himself in the family’s home.
Benoit’s body contained the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and the painkiller hydrocodone, according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The GBI said Benoit tested negative for blood alcohol.
Benoit’s wife, Nancy, tested positive for Xanax, hydrocodone and the painkiller hydromorphone. The son, Daniel Benoit had Xanax in his system, the agency said.
The GBI said it could not perform tests for steroids or human growth hormones on the son because of a lack of urine. The test results were expected to shed more light on Benoit’s last moments.
Authorities said Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son in their suburban Atlanta home, placed Bibles next to their bodies, and then hanged himself on the cable of a weight machine.
A Note from Dr. James
Can you even remember the last time a big, media-centered murder (Like Cho, Andrea Yates or Benoit) or premature death (Like Anna Nicole Smith’s and her son’s) was not related to the use of prescription medication?
As difficult a job as it is, we will work in Summerville and around the world to get people to switch to maximized living and away from poor health, bad spines, drugs, and surgery.
As told to us by our own government, “…health care is more deadly than terror.” Looking at this article, I have to agree!
Help yourself. Do not fall off the path of your care and keep educating yourself on maximized living. And just as important, please help us help others. Do not keep your care to yourself!

Chris Rock’s brilliant stand-up routine includes some riffs on the ubiquitous television drug commercials that “keep naming symptoms till they get one” that the viewer has.
Even if the ads don’t mention what it is the medicine is supposed to do: “You see a lady on a horse or a man in a tub, and they just keep naming symptoms: ‘Are you depressed?’ ‘Are you lonely?’ ‘Do your teeth hurt?’” Even “‘Do you go to bed at night and wake up in the morning?’ They got that one!” he adds. “I got that. I’m sick. I need that pill!”
The New York Times quotes Chris Rock as part of its review of Greg Critser’s new book, Generation RX. This book examines how baby boomers and their offspring have become the most medicated generations in history, taking pills that promise to “do everything from guarding us against our excesses of drink, food and tobacco, to increasing our children’s performance at school, to jump-starting our own productivity at work, to extending our very time on this mortal coil.”
Critser traces the massive growth of drugs claiming to do everything to the loosening and speeding up of the regulatory processes that used to keep the big pharmaceutical companies in check.
As an onslaught of money and lobbyists has made the government increasingly willing to do the bidding of drug companies, and doctors are similarly besieged with advertising, the barriers between Big Pharma and the public have grown thin and porous. New York Times September 30, 2005 Dr. Mercola’s Comment: Chris Rock’s routine is right on the money. It’s great that the social critics like Rock and the muckrakers like Critser are exposing the truth about what’s going on in the drug industry. Sometimes it’s so ridiculous you just have to laugh.
But it’s also a serious issue. For those of you who regularly read my newsletter, you know that I strongly advise AGAINST using drugs when possible. And, though drugs are sometimes appropriate and at times can save a person’s life, most of the time they are unnecessary, harmful and expensive. The drug companies aren’t interested in saving your life; they’re interested in taking your money. As Critser points out and Rock implies, drug companies are driven by profits and have used their power to influence many areas of medicine. What is most unfortunate is that this has resulted in many biased studies, which ultimately lead to misleading information to the public.
In addition, health costs are rising through the roof, and shortly we will be spending over $2 trillion a year for health care in the United States! It is safe to estimate that over three-fourths of this money is wasted on short-term fixes, primarily drugs and surgeries, which in no way address the long-term cause of the problem.
Further, the far-too-cozy relationship between government agencies like the FDA and major drug companies lets Big Pharma get away with practically anything they want. This has much to do with why I’m so focused on my vision of exposing the existing medical paradigm’s techniques, habits and messages that have put your health and that of the American public in grave danger.
The key to caring for illnesses is to focus on finding the underlying cause of the problem. It is possible to maintain total health by avoiding unnecessary drugs and by gaining a comprehensive understanding of good nutrition and proper lifestyle choices.

Influenza kills 30,000 Americans every year was the headline. One so-called “researcher” said that flu kills up to 40,000 Americans every year!!! (4) http://www.acponline.org/journals/news/jul-aug04/vaccinations.htm
2002: 753 died http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr52/nvsr52_13.pdf (p.16)
2001: 267 died http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr51/nvsr51_05.pdf (p.16)
2000: 2,175 died http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr49/nvsr49_12.pdf (p.15)
1999:1,685 died http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr49/nvsr49_08.pdf (p.28)
Hugh Fudenberg, MD, the world’s leading immunogeneticist and 13th most quoted biologist in the world today, states that if an individual has five consecutive flu shots his/her chances of getting Alzheimer’s disease are 10 times higher. Apparently the aluminum and mercury in the flu shot have an affinity for brain tissue causing brain damage. So why is the flu shot recommended for pregnant women and infants?
The flu shot helps infants and children with asthma and congenital heart disease?
Not at all. In fact a study published in Archives of Diseases of Children showed the opposite. The vaccinated group had a significantly increased risk of asthma-related clinic and emergency room visits. (Christy C, Aligne CA, Auinger P et al. Effectiveness of influenza vaccine for the prevention of asthma exacerbations. Arch Dis Child. 2004;89(8):734-735.)
Is MD really short for mentally defective? A recent report that appeared in the August 22/29, 2005 issue of the AMA News stated that 98% of MDs surveyed plan to offer influenza vaccine to patients (Source: University of Colorado Heath Sciences Center Survey, Funded by the CDC). And that’s after studies show that the flu vaccine doesn’t work in reducing flu deaths. Oh well, follow the money.
The bottom line…look to facts, statistics, and common sense when making decisions regarding your health – not hype and scare tactics generated by the people who have something to gain.
For more information on flu shots and how to stay well ask about attending our next “Developing a Titanium Immune” system workshop.
America was rudely awakened to a new kind of danger on September 11, 2001: Terrorism. The attacks that day left 2,996 people dead, including the passengers on the four commercial airliners that were used as weapons. Many feel it was the most tragic day in U.S. history.Four commercial jets crashed that day. But what if six jumbo jets crashed every day in the United States, claiming the lives of 783,936 people every year? That would certainly qualify as a massive tragedy, wouldn’t it?
Well, forget “what if.” The tragedy is happening right now. Over 750,000 people actually do die in the United States every year, although not from plane crashes. They die from something far more common and rarely perceived by the public as dangerous: modern medicine.
According to the groundbreaking 2003 medical report Death by Medicine, by Drs. Gary Null, Carolyn Dean, Martin Feldman, Debora Rasio and Dorothy Smith, 783,936 people in the United States die every year from conventional medicine mistakes. That’s the equivalent of six jumbo jet crashes a day for an entire year. But where is the media attention for this tragedy? Where is the government support for stopping these medical mistakes before they happen?
The problem is, prescription drugs don’t treat diseases; they merely cover the symptoms. U.S. physicians provide allopathic health care – that is, they care for disease, not health. So, the over-prescription of drugs and medications is designed to treat disease instead of preventing it. And because there are so many drugs available, unforeseen adverse drug reactions are all too common, which leads to the highly conservative annual prescription drug death rate of 106,000. Keep in mind that these numbers came before the Vioxx scandal, and Cox-2 inhibitor drugs could ultimately end up killing tens of thousands more.
The public seems to genuinely believe that drugs advertised on TV are safe, in spite of the plethora of side effects listed by the commercial’s narrator, ranging from diarrhea to death. Patients feel justified in asking their physicians to prescribe them a particular drug they’ve seen on TV, since it surely must be safe or it wouldn’t have been advertised. Remember all those TV ads heralding the wonders of Vioxx? One might wonder how many lives could have been spared if patients didn’t see the ad on TV and request a prescription from their doctors.
The government spends upwards of $30 billion a year on homeland security. Such spending seems important. Since 2001, 2,996 people in the United States have died from terrorism – all as a result of the 9/11 attacks. In that same period of time, 490,000 people have died from prescription drugs, not counting the Vioxx scandal. That means that prescription drugs in this country are at least 16,400 percent deadlier than terrorism. Again, those are the conservative numbers. A more realistic number, which would include deaths from over-the-counter drugs, makes drug consumption 32,000 percent deadlier than terrorism. But the scope of “Death by Medicine” is even wider. Conventional medicine, including unnecessary surgeries, bedsores and medical errors, is 104,700 percent deadlier than terrorism. Yet, our government’s attention and money is not put into reforming health care.
If we really wants to save lives — a lot of lives — it needs look no further than the chemical war has been declared on Americans by Big Pharma. (From your Chiropractor For now, I’ll just get adjusted -)
